Villa Carolina was originally built in 1891. Designed by the Italian architect Febo Contini, it’s cited in many publications of historical mansions on Lake Maggiore.
The villa enjoys an enviable position, just 50 metres from the lakeside, in the most sought-after neighbourhood of Verbania at the foot of “la Castagnola”.
The whole villa was completely and tastefully renovated between 2001 – 2004. All original features have been maintained, which include glass doors, parquet and marble flooring, artistic gratings, fireplaces and the grand staircase addorned with beautiful stained glass windows.
The ground floor accommodates the main living rooms of the house and the kitchen, which opens out onto the terrace and garden surrounding the whole property. On the first floor we find the master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and two further bedrooms each with own bathroom.
The top floor offers an independent apartment with two further bedrooms.
On the basement floor we find two beautiful rooms with brick vaulted ceilings, further storagerooms, heating system room and laundry room
Each of the four floors can be reached by a lift.
The property also offers a double garage (approx 45 sq. m), easy access by car and a well-lit garden, in which we find an independent natural water well.
